A walk on the moon is hard enough without Canonical and 301 redirects.
I’ve spent sleepless nights searching in the dark reading blogs and looking through comments. Hoping that one day visitors suddenly would start popping up from a magic holes.
Down below is a list of every good free website and program that I have found and used so for. Every website is either free or have an upgrade plan as well, but you can still use the good stuff.
Okay let’s get started !
1.One of my most favorite websites right now is Semrush
Pros: A really good website that has almost everything. (Keyword position, Domain analytics etc.) it’s also really easy to find broken pages and errors.
Cons: It costs 100 $ per month to get the pro version with unlimited use. You have a limited amount of scans but it resets after 1 month.
2. Another awesome completely free offline program is Screaming frog
Pros: I use it for making sitemaps html and xml files, also checking redirect chains. It has a lot of good features and it’s completely free.
Cons: It can be a little bit hard to navigate.
They both have trials and after 7 days raven tools basic package cost 80$ for a month and Moz tools 100$ for a year.
If I had to choose 1 I would definitely pick Moz tools because of the difference in price range.
Another good free online website that I use is called LXR Marketplace
Pros:You can easily analyze your website for Backlinks, headers, keyword ranks and Domain age.
A website that I only use for quickly checking and fixing redirects is:
Just write your desired web address eg. http://www.example.com/index.php
Then check how many redirects you get.
The best practice with redirects is to have as few redirects as possible because of the so called “link juice” disappears a little bit after each redirect your web page will make from the original URL.
I hope any of the links above could be a little bit of help maintaining or fixing your website for free.Webbcrafts
